Grasse Roumiguières, France

The water treatment technologies implemented in the 80's at the Roumiguières wastewater plant had become obsolete: organic pollutants, chemicals and bacteria were discharged into the Siagne river.  The Siagne river,  classified  "sensitive environment", serves an area of fish farming and is a well field to supply drinking water of Cannes City. Faced with problems of safety and environmental issues, the municipality must undertake extensive work to design and build a new wastewater plant.

 

 

The solution provided by Degrémont for the new plant guarantees a high degree of quality of the treated water and allows the municipality to comply with the environmental standards.

 

Treatment line :

Pretreatment:

• Coarse screening 1,200 m3/h
• Sand and grease removal 300 m3/h
• Fine screening 300 m3/h
• Storm water tank 1,200 m3/h (max.flow rate)

 

Biological treatment:

• Aeration (2 tanks 1000 m3)
• Ultrafiltration on ULTRAFOR® MBR

 

Sludge treatment:

• Dewatering on 2 centrifuges
• Sludge dryness : 25%

 

Air treatment:

• Covering of odour generating equipment
• Slate air conveyed to physico-chemical
• Odour treatment
