Activated carbon reactor - Pulsazur

The Pulsazur is a lamellar clarifier that uses a process of adsorption on powdered activated carbon (PAC) in a pulsed sludge blanket reactor. Pulsazur is used to eliminate dissolved organic matter and micropollutants in water.

The PAC expands and then settles, thus maintaining even expansion of the blanket.

For water treatment or drinking water production, it may be integrated into a conventional or membrane treatment plant after clarified or floated, and prior to sand filtration.
