SUEZ at the centre of India's drive for water with 6 new municipal water and wastewater treatment contracts
Faced with forecasts of its water consumption doubling by 2050, India has confirmed its determination to treat wastewater and protect its rivers and groundwater, which are the main sources of drinking water for millions of inhabitants. As urbanisation continues apace and water stress rises, the authorities are calling on the expertise of SUEZ.

MASDAR inaugurates SUEZ energy-efficient desalination pilot in Abu Dhabi
In June 2014, SUEZ was awarded by Masdar, a contract to build and operate a seawater desalination pilot plant able to be powered by renewable energy and with minimal environmental impact. The challenge is key for a region experiencing strong population growth, urban development and sustained economic growth, with limited water resources.

SUEZ inaugurates the extension of Jordan's largest wastewater plant
Today, the SUEZ Group and its partners inaugurated the extension of the As Samra wastewater treatment plant, in the presence of the Jordanian Prime Minister, Adbullah Ensour, the Minister of Water and Irrigation, Hazem El Nasser, and Marie-Ange Debon, Senior Executive Vice-President in charge of the International Division of SUEZ.
