Degrémont will build the the first sludge treatment plant in Jiangsu Province, China.


SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT has been awarded a Design, Built and Operate contract with the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park, for the first sludge treatment project in Jiangsu Province. The construction part will generate a revenue of around 11 million euros. The operation part is a 30-year contract that will generate an approximate revenue of 280 million euros and will be managed by Park SIP Sino French Environment Technology Co. Ltd.

Degremont winning bidder for the construction and operation of Melbourne desalination plant in Australia


Through its Degrémont subsidiary and the AquaSure joint venture, the State of Victoria has just awarded SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT the contract for the seawater desalination plant project, which will allow it to provide a third of metropolitan Melbourne’s water needs by the end of 2011. This contract is the world’s largest public-private desalination project. It includes financing, design, construction and operation, for the period to 2039, of a plant with a capacity of 450,000 m3 of drinking water per day, as well as an 85 km water distribution network. The total value of the investment is €2 billion.

Degrémont start works as part of the contract worth 154 million euros with the city of Ciudad Juarez in Mexico.


On 24 April 2009, Degrémont entered into a BOT contract (Build, Operate and Transfer) with the "Junta Municipal de Agua y Saneamiento" of Ciudad Juárez, a city with 1.5 million inhabitants in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, for the construction, financing and 15-year operation of a wastewater treatment plant worth a total of 154 million euros ...
