Evreux Agglomeration awards Degrémont, a subsidiary of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, a €42 million contract to build its Wastewater Treatment Plant
The work, in partnership with the civil engineering firm Quille, is due to start in February 2010 with a commissioning target of September 2011.
Degrémont will build an industrial wastewater treatment plant at the Petrochina site in Chengdu (china). From 2012, this plant will treat process water from the Petrochina refinery which will be producing 800,000 tons of ethylene each year from 10 million tons of oil. In this way, the treatment plant will make it possible to recycle one third of the wastewater, which will be reused for the refinery process, saving the region's water resources.
United Water today jointly launched a unique collaborative effort with its sister company, Infilco Degremont, Inc., establishing United WERCs, a Water Environmental Research Center to spearhead innovative efforts in providing safe drinking water and state-of-the-art wastewater treatment.
