Drinking water production
| Groundwater, surface water, brackish water or seawater: whatever the origin and quality of the resource, our teams have a full range of technologies at their disposal to turn it into clean drinking water and ensure optimum public health conditions. | | | Degremont adapts its solutions to each country and each individual case | | In 2006, Degremont won design-build contracts to increase drinking water supply to Macao in China, Dakar in Senegal, Apremont and Nemours in France and Astana in Kazakhstan. Meanwhile new drinking water facilities came online in Moscow in Russia, New Delhi in India and Vivé in Martinique. All these facilities have or will have treatment technologies suited to the quality of their resource. | | | Degremont stays at the forefront of innovation | | In every case, the choice of facilities and technologies is designed to improve public health in the communities concerned. To achieve this, Degremont’s teams are increasingly using membrane ultrafiltration. Now widely acclaimed in France, this technology is becoming a popular choice in Eastern Europe too: one example is the Moscow plant, which opened in November 2006 and is equipped with 1,344 Aquasource membrane modules producing 275,000 m3/d of ultrafiltered water. The membrane solution was also chosen for the Macao facility in China. The potable water production expertise of Degremont’s design-build and plant operation teams is proving its worth throughout the world and in facilities of every size. Degremont Technologies adds its expertise in supplying specific plant items: the Aquasource range of ultrafiltration membranes and the Ozonia ranges of ozone plant and ultra-violet disinfection systems. |
