GEH (Granular Eisen Hydroxyde)

Because the presence thresholds for arsenic in drinking water have recently been lowered (10 μg/l in Europe / USA / Japan and 50 μg/l elsewhere), there is now a need for increasingly efficient treatments. To respect these new standards, Degrémont has chosen and developed the GEH (Granular Eisen Hydroxide) process.

Arsenic is water soluble and can be either naturally or industrially present in water. GEH is an adsorbent that reduces the arsenic (III, V) content to levels below 10 μg/l. It has a very high adsorption capacity when compared with other adsorbents currently available on the market (activated alumina, manganese oxide, etc.). It has a very wide field of application, even for raw waters containing more than 1mg As/l.
